Tonight, instead of practice, we had our make up game from the game that was cancelled from two weeks ago (Andrew and I missed the first game of the season because he was sick and we didn't want to infect any of the other kids).
Andrew talked about earning the Bumbleebee garage for three goals before the game. I really thought he had the incentive to go out there and get it. He started the game on offense, but couldn't pull together a goal. He had some good runs and one shot on goal that was saved by the goalie.
He came off the field sad and said that he wasn't going to get Bumblebee's garage. I told him that if scored one goal, he could still get something as a prize or if he scored three goals over different games, he could get it that way too.
But it was easy to see that he still wasn't into the game. He didn't play bad, but didn't play as well as he could have. And to be honest, the other team was probably better than the one last weekend.
Sadly, our team wasn't able to score that much either. James and I were hoping that they could keep up the momentum from last week. Well, hopefully, we can pull together a few more goals in the upcoming games.
