Andrew's First Day of School

Well, it's over and done with! And there were no casualties. My little nugget had his first day of school. I don't know who it was harder on--him or me. But I am the only one who shed tears, so I guess it would be me.

This morning, Andrew woke up like normal. We got dressed and ate some yogurt for breakfast. Then, he went to play with his toys like he normally does. I told him it was time to go school. I could tell he wanted to stay at home and play, but he didn't put up too much a stink and followed me quickly.

We drove to school. I was scared to talk to him about school because I didn't want to make him nervous or upset. So, we looked for trucks and played train songs like we always do.

After we parked the car, we walked down the school hallways. Andrew was just taking it all in. The look on his face was apprehension. I don't think he knew what to make of all this. We reached his classroom and I set him down. He walked into classroom. And I helped him to put his snack (cheese cubes) in his assigned cubby and hang his school bag on his assigned hook.

Next, we were supposed to go wash hands where Ms. Quiroz helped us. And then, he could go play. He played mostly with the boat in the water tub.

Then, I noticed that the only other mother left in the room was saying goodbye to her daugther. So, I knew that I need to leave very soon too. So I told Drew I was leaving, but I would pick him up in a few hours just like we talked about. He gave me hug and kiss and went back to playing. So, I darted out as quietly and inconspicuously as I could as to not arouse any attention from Andrew.

I stayed outside the room for a bit and didn't hear any crying from Andrew. So, I walked back to the car trying to compose myself and willed myself not to cry in the school. I have to say that I wasn't able to keep it totally together and shed a few tears in the car. I was so worried about him. I know he was going to be scared and nervous today and I felt that for him too. I just hoped that he would be okay and maybe even come to like it.

So, I drove home and made some calls on various matters. The time flew by. Before I knew it, it was time for me to go pick up Daddy at his office and we were going to go together to pick up Andrew. Daddy had a work meeting in the morning that couldn't be missed or rescheduled so he wasn't able to drop Andrew off at school, but wanted to be there at least to pick him up. We walked to through the hallways; and I was so anxious again. I just hope that he would be okay and the teachers would give us a good report.

When we got into his classroom, he caught sight of me and ran to me. I picked him and gave him a big hug. He seemed a little scared, but didn't cry. He said and hugged his teachers goodbye and said goodbye to some of his classmates. He walked out with Daddy. We tried to talk to him about school, but he wasn't saying much.

We then headed back to Daddy's work and stayed to have lunch with him. Then, I took him home for a nap. He went down pretty easily. I am sure he was tired from his big day.

We had told Andrew that we would take him out for dinner to celebrate. He said he wanted to go to Nikos Nikos. But since we had just had it, I asked him if we could go somewhere and get noodles. He quickly agreed thankfully. So, we met Daddy at Maggiano's where Andrew ate his fetticune alfredo and my ravoli quite well. And he behaved great too! Then, for dessert, a bowl of ice cream. Everything was delicious!

When he finally started talking about school, he said he had fun and liked his teachers. But he also said "no school" twice during the day. When we ask him if he wants to go back tomorrow, he said "yes". I am keeping our fingers crossed!! But we are very happy how things went today. I am very proud of you, little man!

The Night Before School

My heart is torn tonight as I sit here in agony. It's the night before school. Yes, that's right, school. In less than ten hours, I am going to be dropping off Andrew at his first day at school. I have been excited and anxious about him going to school ever since we learned of his acceptance into St. Luke's Day School back in March. But it really didn't phase me until we had our classroom visit last Thursday. But it really didn't hit me until last night at Parent Orientation. As I sat in his classroom with Daddy and all the other parents, I felt my heart sink a little. It hit me that he was going to school. He was going to be in this classroom for the next nine months. He wasn't going to be with me three days a week. His two teachers were going to be watching him and I wasn't going to be there. I whispered to James that I wasn't sure that I could do this anymore. I am not sure I can let my baby go. I almost teared up a little bit just at the thought.

I was talking to Uncle Anh Tuan about how much anxiety I was feeling. I told him how I used to feel the night before school when I was younger. I had my clothes picked out. my backpack ready, and I was a little anxious, but more excited nervous--not gut twisting anxiety that I am feeling now.

I keep reminding myself that he will be ok. I have been telling him how much fun he is going to have and I wasn't lying. I know that he is going to have a blast. I know that he is in good hands. I rest assured that he is a good school that will teach and nurture him.

He has been such a sport about it all. We have been telling him that he's going to school ever since March and would point it out when we drove by. At first he said he didn't want to to. But after we dropped off our first month tuition back in July, he has been totally agreeable to going. He's been saying that it was Drew's school. He said Mama as if I would be going with him. But I told him I would drop him off and pick him up and he repeated this. He seemed okay with it. And after his classroom visit, he said that he was going to school. He would say "Mama, drop off. Mama, pick up". And he would keep asking for more school and more teachers periodically.

Tonight as I put him to bed, he didn't want to go to sleep. I told him it was getting late and he needed his rest for school tomorrow. Then those fateful words came out of his mouth "no school." He whined a little bit. I just reassured him that he would have fun and that Mommy would drop him off and pick him up. I reminded him that his cousin, Brennan, just had his first day of school (kindergarten) and said it was "awesome!" I really haven't heard Andrew say anything negative about school for a couple of months. He really seemd into the idea. Later, he came out and whimpered again "no school." I said it would be okay. He would be okay. I think I was saying this as much for me as for him.

Oh, help me! I don't know how I am ever going ot make it through tomorrow morning.

I Like Trucks

A few pictures and a video clip of Andrew dancing at Gymboree today to I Like Trucks, which he has been loving since Ms. Angie first played it for us. The kids are supposed to twist, march, and then steer, which can be rather hard to do when you are holding hands with all your buddies.

The Fire Station

After Daddy got home, we packed up the car and said goodbye to Uncle Anh Tuan. We then drove down to Uncle John's fire station before we headed home to Houston. We had been talking to Andrew about possibly going to Uncle Johnny's fire station the whole week and he was so excited about it. We knew he would more into it than the last time we went since he is so obsessed with them now.

Uncle John showed Andrew the ladder unit first complete with Uncle John's seat up front and his uniform. Andrew was too scared to put any of it on though. And he was too scared to let Uncle John take him up to sit in the truck so Daddy had to.

Shortly thereafter, Aunt Sharon arrived with Peter and Kathryn at the fire station so they could see us before we left. Of course, the kids wanted to climb up the trucks too; and of course, Andrew wanted to go follow them. It was really cute seeing them all up there!!

Andrew even got to sit in the cab and play around with the headphones. He didn't want to put them on his head either. I don't know why he was so tentative, but I guess it wasn't a bad thing. I wouldn't want him too crazy on the trucks. I would prefer him to be a little timid as opposed to wild, that's for sure!!

We then headed back inside for some lunch. Then, it was time to say goodbye and hit the road. Andrew fell asleep in the car and napped well. He woke up and was pretty good the rest of the ride home thankfully. It also helped that we told him Ngoai and Papa would be there when we got home. They had come up to babysit Andrew while Daddy and Mommy attend Parent Orientation at school.

The orientation was good. A little on the long side, but I understand. I just hate being away from Andrew for too long. But it was nice to meet people and hear them talk about the upcoming school year. We had an orientation just for the new parents and then immediately after, one for all the parents. After, we broke out into our classes and got a chance to talk more with the teachers and ask any other questions we might have. It gave us a better idea of how the school year was going to go. And for me, it really started to dawn on me that Andrew is going to school in a few days. I told James tonight that I was starting to feel a little anxious and was unsure if I would be able to go through with it. Eek!!

When we got home after 9pm, Andrew was still awake and playing with Ngoai and Papa. They said he was really good and didn't cry or fuss at all. And Andrew even peed in the potty when Ngoai took him for his bath!

To end tonight, a very sincere thank you to everyone for a wonderful weekend: Uncle Anh Tuan for letting us invade his house; Uncle John and his family for spending time with us and a very special trip to the fire station; Granddad for dinner on Saturday night; Nonna for coming up to hang with us; and Ngoai and Papa for watching Andrew. We appreciate everything you all do for us and love you very much!

Our Morning with Uncle Anh Tuan

This morning, we woke up and picked up some tacos for breakfast. After, Daddy headed to church with the family. We decided that Andrew and I would stay behind since Andrew isn't always on his best behavior in church and even more so, it would give us some extra time with Uncle Footon. So, Uncle Anh Tuan and I started out by taking Andrew to Target for a few things. Andrew had fun showing Uncle how he rolls in the toys section and even pooped like he normally does.

Wait!! I just realized that I may have never posted about Andrew and his tendency to poop in toy stores. OMG! I might have, but just in case I haven't, I definitely need to post about it now so he can read about it one of these days and laugh about it like we do.

Anyhow, I think it all started at Michaels back when we were looking for Thomas trains. Ngoai and I were going there all the time to stock up on Thomas trains since they were no longer to carry them in the stores and were putting most of them on clearance. And Ngoai and Mommy so love sales!! Anyway, it happened once. No biggie. But then, it happened the next week too. Ngoai would say that he was so excited that he pooped. I just laughed it off because I was more focused on having to change his diaper which I hate changing him in public restrooms!! Anyhow, we kept noticing that when we would go to a store with toys, it would happen. It couldn't be coincidence because it happened way too often. Odds were good, real good. It happened a lot at Michaels. It happened a lot in Target. And it even happened once in a Walgreens in their quite small toy section. And it would almost always happen at Toys R Us (unless he had already pooped earlier that day). It was like clockwork. It's hilarious! That's my boy!

Okay, back to Austin...

After Target, we drove to a playground in Anh Tuan's subdivision to let Andrew get out in the great weather we were having. Andrew climbed around and went down the slides. Later, he just walked over to a bench that was by a tree and wanted to have some snacks.

After his snacks, we went to look for some rocks for the turtle and Andrew wanted to climb the tree. He had been trying to climb trees for a while, but they were all much too hard for him to climb. But this tree wasn't too bad, so I helped him up. He was so cute about it. He even got a little stuck and had to ask for some help to get out. But he still liked it and wanted to do it again. I know he's going to be a tree climber since he climbs everything else already!!

It was getting a little warm and about time for Daddy to come home from church. So, we headed home so I could clean up and start packing a little.

I love some of the shots I got today in the park of my little man--and by the way, I didn't ask him to pose for me...he did it all on his own. Sometimes, I would only ask him to look at the camera and say cheese.

Saturday in Austin

We drove up to Austin this weekend to spend some time with family--Uncle Anh Tuan, Granddad, and especially Uncle Johnny and his family. We hadn't seen them for a long while (maybe Christmas) as they were out of town our last trip to Austin and Uncle Johnny was studying for a test just like Daddy. So, it was long overdue

We woke up Saturday morning and Andrew proceeded to wake up Uncle Anh Tuan. I told him that Uncle was still sleeping and not to wake him up, but that didn't stop Andrew. He proceeded to barge through Uncle's bedroom door and look for him. It was funny because Andrew didn't see Anh Tuan initially because he was wrapped up and covered in the blanket. Anh Tuan was sweet waking up and played trains and trucks with Andrew while we got ready. Anh Tuan also introduced us to his new pet turtle named Squirt after the Crush's son in Finding Nemo. Andrew was totally into Squirt and would keep wanting to look at him.

Then, we got in the car and drove to Round Rock Donuts, which came highly recommended from some of our friends. It was crazy packed especially the drive thru line so we parked and went inside. Thankfully, the line wasn't as long and went really fast. I was told to eat them while they were hot so I had to have one in the car on the way to John's. It was really good, but I have to say it wasn't as good as Shipley's though.

We arrived at Uncle John's and shortly thereafter Nonna did too who drove up to spend the day with us. We sat down to eat the doughnuts, but Andrew wasn't interested in the donuts. He just wanted to go upstairs and play. We managed to get him to eat in between all the playing. Peter and Kathryn were both very sweet to Andrew again and played really nicely with him.

Later, we got ready to go swimming at nearby neighborhood pool. The pool was very kid friendly with a mushroom and slide. It was a little chilly, but it didn't bother the kids too much. Andrew had a great time there with everyone. He went down the slide with Daddy, but Daddy wasn't able to go very fast (some of it on purpose because he didn't know how fast the slide was going to be). So, Aunt Sharon took him down next. He liked it, but not that much to go down again. He was content going to the shallow end of the pool and walking and swimming around.

The kids got hungry and had some snacks during the lifeguard's break. They went back in the pool for a little while longer, but then it was time for lunch. We drove over to Chick Fil A, a favorite amongst the kids. Of course, we couldn't go there without playing in the playground. After lunch, it was time to head back to Foo's house for naps.

After Andrew took a two hour nap, we headed to dinner with the family at Ho Ho Chinese Restaurant, a place where Uncle Anh Tuan had introduced to us on one of our other trips to Austin. Andrew was more interested in playing with Peter and Kathryn and the fish tank than eating. But he ended up eating a decent amount of noodles, shrimp, and Peking Duck buns. Uncle Anh Tuan, who had a Fantasy Football draft, came after his draft finished.

Then after dinner, we headed back to Uncle Foo's house for the night. Uncle John also came over to watch some football with us and hang out for a little while longer. I put Andrew to bed rather easily. It was a fun day and little man was pretty worn out!

Farewell Miss Nellie

Tonight, we had to say farewell to Miss Nellie, the Gymboree employee who works Thursday nights when we go to open gym. Andrew is so fond of Miss Nellie--and so am I. Anytime, I tell Andrew we are going to open gym, he will say "Nellie". And sometimes, when we walk into Gymboree, he will run up to hug her. And he usually would hug her goodbye or give her knuckles.

She's always been so nice to us throughout our time at Gymboree. It's funny because we have seen her a couple of times at the Galleria. First, it was at the Gymboree clothing store as she was promoting the Gymboree classes. And even back then when we didn't know her all that well, she was so sweet to Andrew. She gave him some Gymbo stickers. And another time, we saw her at Macy's when she was waiting for her interview at Nordstrom. And that's why she's leaving us. Between going to college at UH and working at Nordstrom, it was really hard for her to keep the job at Gymboree.

Anyhow, we will miss her Thursday nights, but we know that we will see her again. We have already talked about her babysitting Andrew in case my parents can't or just so Andrew can see her again. I told him that Nellie wasn't going to be at Gymboree anymore (I don't think he quite understood). But I asked him if he wanted her to come play with him at our house and he said yes.

So, it's not goodbye, but more like until next time...we love you, Miss Nellie!

Classroom Visit

One of the things that Andrew's school does to prepare the parents and the kids for school is to have a classroom visit where we go to his classroom and get some time to talk to the teachers. It also affords the kids to see their classroom and begin to get acclimated. They offered two one-hour slots. This way there would be less kids so the kids wouldn't feel overwhelmed.

We chose to go at 11am so that Daddy could meet us for a little bit on his lunch break. Andrew walked in and was very shy at first. We introduced ourselves to his teachers, Ms. Faruolo and Ms. Quiroz. Then, I showed him around the room pointing out all the cool things that he would be able to play with at school including a Thomas and Percy train. Jackpot! He liked the water tub with boats and played there for a while. He also played with in the kitchen area. He even got food for Daddy and Mommy and later one of his classmates and Ms. Faruolo. That was progress.

Daddy had to leave to go back to work, but we stayed a bit longer. Andrew went to play with the puzzles and the blocks. He found a snowplow and he was on a mission to make a train. Some of the other kids were trying to grab some of his blocks, which did not go over well. But I told him they were trying to help him build his train and to give them some other blocks instead. And he did and that seemed to make it better.

Finally, it was time to go and we headed home. Andrew seemed okay, but very hesitant still. I am glad he played a little with the other kids. I hope they become fast friends and that will make the transition easier for him.

It's really starting to hit me that Andrew is going to school--I am getting so anxious!!

Happy 2 1/2 Year Birthday

Andrew is 2 1/2 years old! It amazes me that Andrew has grown into such a little boy and he isn't a little baby anymore. I love how much he knows and is learning. And I am glad he is growing up and becoming more independent. But on the other side of it, I am sad that he's not my little baby. Well, he will always be my little baby no matter what his age!

Andrew is still a big cheese fanatic. As of late, Andrew has been eating sliced cheese at night for his night night snack. Andrew has also been wanting to cut his food into strips (he calls them "train strips") and hold and bite into them. Drew has been totally devouring blueberries. He used to only eat them if they were sweet, but now he will eat them if they are sour too. He's been really good eating other fruit like strawberries, grapes, and melon. Unfortunately, he doesn't like vegetables as much. But to remedy this, we bought some of the V8 Fusion drinks, which Andrew actually drinks and likes. We like them because they are so nutritous for him and gets him some of the nutrition from veggies that he isn't getting otherwise. But I do sneak some vegetables into Andrew's diet. He will eat carrots that I cook with spaghetti and eat broccoli that I will cook with fetticune alfredo.

Our routine for putting him down for naps and bedtime are pretty set. Andrew is allowed to pick out two books for naps and five for bedtime. It's funny when he picks out more than his allotment. We tell him he has to put however many back. Or if he already has his allowed number but wants another book, we make him trade. He is normally pretty good about being content with the two and five books, but there are days and nights where he wants more. We usually tell him if he's being good, then he can earn another extra book. And he always has to have some sort of night night snack and milk while we are reading books at night. He doesn't get snacks before naps. Usually, Andrew is pretty willing to go to sleep, but maybe once or twice a week, we hear him say "no night night." For bedtime, We just explain that he needs to go to sleep and there is no room for discussion. For naps, we will say he can just lay down and be quiet. After all those skipped or late naps, I know that there will be days when he will skip his nap. But lately, he's been pretty good about falling asleeping even taking naps over an hour and a half.

One afternoon with Nhat's family, Kyana was watching Max and Ruby; and Andrew was hooked since then. He had watched a few episodes with Brennan, but it didn't take. But now, Andrew likes to watch an episode after he wakes up from his nap. He asks for it more than any other show. But he still watches a little bit of Dora, but definitely not as much as before.

As for books, Andrew's new favorite is Richard Scarry's Cars and Trucks and Things That Go. We will go through the book and look for Goldbug. Andrew can find all of them on the pages, sometimes faster than Mommy and Daddy. Lately, he's been in a Berenstein Bears book kick, especially By the Sea, so much so that we have had to recheck it out from the library. When we are reading, sometimes we pause so that Andrew can say what's coming next.

As for music and dancing, he is also enjoying acting out Baby Bumblebee, Tooty Ta, and Bananas Unite from the Bellaire Library, but we do them lots at home and in the car too. To Daddy's dismay, Andrew has been tainted by Mommy's affinity for pop music. We jam out to Katy Perry's California Gurls, Usher's OMG, Train's Hey, Soul Sister, and Kesha's Tik Tok. He is trying to sing along with the songs too.

In regards to Andrew's speech, it still continues to improve every month. Andrew repeats almost everything we say. He can say longer words like blueberry, garbage trucks, and water park, which are some of his favorites. He can also say sentences like "I want milk please, Mama" and "I love you." Upon occasion, Andrew will say my name is Sydney sometimes instead of "NiNi."

Andrew is getting much better about being around other kids. He is very social and likes to play with other kids. Drew is better at sharing and taking turns. He will even voluntarily give toys to other kids without anyone asking him. Then again, we still have moments where he will swipe or be very relunctant to share. But we are working on it. And lately, he always says "no" to wanting babies even though so sweet to other babies and asking about them like Baby Shane and Baby Rush.

After a sometimes very trying and long process, Andrew is a water lover. He could go the pool everyday if he could (we try to go at least once a week). He is getting braver about the things he does in the water like jumping to us without holding hands and walking in deeper water that comes up to his chin.

Andrew is definitely all boy liking his trains, trucks, airplanes. He still plays quite a bit with Thomas and GeoTrax. And he loves his little diecast emergency vehicles. Andrew is still very good at pretending like cooking and playing along at Gymboree. He can pretend almost anything is a train!

Drew can be very nurturing at times. He still makes sure that everyone has food and tableware. Also, Andrew will want to make sure people are doing what he's doing or playing. He will want other kids to play trains with him. Another example took place at Gymboree where Andrew wanted another kid to participate in parachute time so he walked over to the little girl and tried to pull her over to the parachute. I had to explain to him that not everybody wants to do what he wants and we just need to leave them be. Andrew is also very affectionate (like his mother) and will give hugs and kisses to family and friends without us even having to ask him.

Andrew is very big into helping us and doing things himself. He loves to push the button to open and close the garage. And he has learned to get water and ice for himself out the refrigerator dispenser. He can do it on his tippy toes, but he will also use the step stool as well.

We are so in the midst of the terrible 2s. Andrew still has temper tantrums where he cries a bit or whines. But we just kind of ignore it and he gives up after a few minutes. But there are the bigger meltdowns where he goes into full meltdown and cries for longer. It's much harder to settle him down. He's very stubborn and hard-headed, but we know it's very genetic in both our families!

He can be very defiant and won't listen to what we are saying. But then there are times when he is very obedient and listens very well. I guess it's just his age.

We have been pretty impressed and amazed by Andrew's sense of direction. If we are going somewhere, it will say "that way" towards our destination. Or he will say something else and say "back there". The places that he probably knows the best are Gymboree, Daddy's work, Ngoai's and Papa's house, the nearby fire station, and even certain restaurants.

Another thing Andrew does is put up a stink when we need to leave somewhere. It's always something like "stay here", "no bye bye", or "Iin there". He just doesn't like to leave when he's having fun, which is nothing out of the ordinary. I just tell him that when Mommy says it's time to go, it's time to go and that there is to be no whining or fussing. This doesn't work all the time. We will also tell him that he has two more minutes. And he will try to say "two more minutes" after the first two minutes are up. Always negotiating!! But when we do leave, he's fine afterwards.

Happy 2 1/2 Birthday, Andrew! We love you so very much! You are the light of our lives and we are so honored to be your parents for the last two and a half years (and plus the time you were my belly too!)

I am also including a video taken earlier this month of Andrew pretending to cook by cracking eggs.

Sunday with Friends

This morning, we drove out to Sugar Land to visit Uncle Steven, Aunt Belinda, Evan, and the twins. I had been wanting to visit the twins since they are growing up so fast. And I wanted Andrew to get to play with Evan since he doesn't get to as much as he probably would like.

The boys played well together for the most part. There were still some problems with sharing, but for the most part, not too bad. They do seem to get better in terms of playing together versus playing next to one another.

Mommy got her baby fix in and got to hold Cayden! Andrew didn't get jealous of it, but rather came up to us and would pat Cayden and try to hug him. It was really sweet. I hope he will be as loving with his future brother or sister when the day comes. ;)

The boys got a little rambunctious so we decided to let them swim in their backyard pool. Andrew decided to jump into the water without any help. Thankfully, it was the hot tub and wasn't deep. This crazy kid!! Evan and Andrew had fun with the water guns spraying lots of water around, including at the trees. It was time to head home so Andrew could take a nap. He was so wiped out that he fell asleep on the way home.

In the afternoon, we had a breakthrough with Andrew's potty training. He hadn't given much thought about potty training since that first time back so many months ago. But we would keep casually asking if he wanted to pee in the potty. And he would casually say "no." But we kept at it thinking one day he would be interested again. Then when Daddy went upstairs to change clothes for dinner tonight, Andrew wanted to tag along and headed upstairs with his daddy. Andrew's diaper was wet and needed to be changed. Daddy asked Andrew if he wanted to pee on the potty to which Andrew said "yes, fire station." Daddy was puzzled for a second, but then remembered that we had promised him the GeoTrax fire station if he peed in the potty. So, Daddy put him on the potty and waited a few minutes. Nothing. So, Daddy asked him if he wanted to get off, but Andrew said "no, fire station." Even more time elapsed and still nothing. Daddy told Andrew he could get off the toilet if he wanted. But Andrew again said "no". Not wanting to wait in the bathroom any longer (and maybe take the pressure off of Andrew), Daddy told Andrew that he was going back out into the bedroom to begin getting dressed, but would be listening. Then, maybe a minute or two later, he heard the tinkling of water. Sure enough, Andrew had peed in the potty!! I heard the commotion and ran upstairs and Daddy told me what happened. I praised Andrew for a good job. But Andrew didn't care so much about what I had to say, he just darted downstairs to the garage for the fire station. We opened it up and Andrew began playing with it immediately. He was so happy!

Then later this evening, we met up with Uncle Ed at Lupe Tortilla. When we first walked into the restaurant, Andrew quickly saw the sandbox and wanted to go play in there. But we told him he had to eat first.

Once we were seated at our table, we ordered food and drinks and caught up with Ed while we waited for our meals. Andrew played with trains to pass the time. The food came out and Andrew ate his quesadillas. But once he was done, he kept saying "sandbox." There was no putting it off any longer. I took Andrew outside and let the man loose. He had a blast playing on the slides and with the trucks and sand tools they had available. He even played with a few other kids that were in the sandbox too. We played for a good while and after Daddy and Uncle Ed finished their meals, they came to join us. Then, it was time to get Andrew home for a much needed bath!!
