South Korea Day 5: Recuperation Day

Andrew's cold was a little bit worse today so we didn't want to take him out anywhere too long. We decided to just hang out around here and let him try to recuperate some.

I wanted to get Andrew something for his cough and maybe some cough drops so Mom and I were going to go back to Time Square for the pharmacy as well as the E Mart grocery store for some food for lunch and dinner.

After breakfast, we had some time before the mall opened so Daddy went downstairs for a swim at the hotel pool while Andrew and I hung out at the room. After his return, Ngoai and I left for the store.

While we were gone, Daddy took Andrew on a walk to get some fresh air and let Andrew get some time out of the hotel room. They ended up walking over a nearby pedestrian bridge over the highway and wandered around a park.

Daddy told us an amusing story when they got back from their walk. After they were done exploring at the park, James took Andrew to a convenience store to buy a snack and a drink. Originally, James told Andrew he could pick out some ice cream. But our half-Asian son sees a bag of shrimp chips (if you are Asian, you know what I am talking about) and yells out excitedly, "my favorite!" So, he picked those over anything else in the store. What's even funnier is that I bought a bag of shrimp chips at E Mart too!

After lunch, we came back to the hotel room so that Andrew could nap, but for whatever reason, he couldn't fall asleep. James and I were baffled that he didn't fall asleep because he was short on sleep and sick. We finally gave up and we went over to Papa's and Ngoai's room for dinner. Ngoai was sweet and made some chicken soup with mushrooms and broccoli.

Once we finished dinner, we came back to the room and put Andrew to sleep. He fell asleep relatively quickly thankfully. Hopefully, he'll get a lot of rest and feel better in the morning!

Here are some pictures of Andrew drawing in our room this morning and two of the Park that the boys visited.
