Since Papa is home and he and Ngoai can tag team watching Andrew, James and I asked them if they would take Andrew for the night so we can have date night.
We had talked about going to see the Batman movie since we still hadn't seen it, but we also talked about going to watch the Houston Dynamo play at their new stadium. We did want to take Andrew to a game this season, but hadn't been able to yet. But it would be nice to get to watch an entire game without having to tend to Andrew and make sure he was entertained for an entire soccer match.
Quincy posted on Facebook yesterday that he had two extra tickets for the Dynamo game and I inquired about them. Turns out that the two people that share his season tickets were attending the UT vs. West Virginia game and we could have their tickets if we wanted.
It wasn't date night, but it was nice to have adult time with a dear friend. And Quincy's birthday was two days ago so it was even better getting to spend time with him. Not to mention, his seats were awesome and I am sure James enjoyed getting to talk soccer with someone fairly knowledgeable about the game.
We had a great time at the game. Sadly, we ended up tied 1-1. We actually should have won but for a sucky call made by the referee at the final moments of the game. So, that was a bummer, but we still enjoyed ourselves.
