Since Andrew was still feeling better, we spent the morning on Insa-dong Street, which is a popular flea market in Downtown. There were so many little shops and restaurants. Such a cute little area. The shops ranged from souvenir shops (which I was hoping for), house goods, artwork, paper goods, clothes, and food and drinks.
We did lots of shopping and sampled some traditional Korean sweets courtesy of Daddy's curiosity. Daddy took Andrew around most of the morning since Andrew isn't the best shopper and ended up finding a park called Tapgol Park that we decided to check it out hoping for a playground for Andrew. Sadly, there was no playground, but there was a pavilion and a beautiful 10-story stone-built statute of a pagoda that was enclosed by glass called the Wongaksajisipcheungseoktap.
By then, we were all getting hungry for some lunch. On the recommendation of one of the employees of a store we visited, we ate a Korean restaurant called Arirang Garden. It was pretty traditional--we took off our shoes and ate on the floor. But I enjoyed experiencing the meal like some of the locals. It was a really delicious meal and Andrew ate quite of bit of the bulgogi.
Then, we went back to the hotel for naps and to wait for Papa to come home from work so we can eat dinner at a chicken and beer joint.
