Pearland with Mary Ann

At dinner last night, Mary Ann and I talked about hanging out today since she had the day off from work. She invited us to drive down to Pearland to hang out for the day. She always comes to our house so we needed to come to her and this way, I could see her new place.

So after we got ready, we drove down to her apartment complex. She had baked some banana nut muffins. Hmm, yummy! It was a little chilly, but Andrew still wanted to go for a dip. So, we got our swim clothes on and walked over to the pool. The pool was really cute with a little splash pad with mushroom and this shallow area where people can lounge in chairs. Andrew really liked hanging out in this area and looked so funny sitting in one of the chairs. He also rode around in his boat and went around the pool with Mary Ann and me.

While out at the pool, Andrew had noticed the playground just off the distance and had asked to go play on it. So once he was done swimming, we went back to the apartment to get cleaned and dressed before heading back outside. This time, we took Madison out with us and it was so sweet watching them together. Madison even went down the slide a few times! It was totally hilarious! We tried to get Andrew and Madison to go down together, but that didn't happen.

For lunch, Andrew wanted to eat Chick Fil A and couldn't be persuaded otherwise. Luckily for him, Mary Ann was in the mood for it so Andrew got bailed out. Of course, Andrew wanted to play on their playscape for a little bit after eating. He had a blast running around with some of the other kids.

Afterwards, Mary Ann wanted to look at some things at Barnes & Noble. And Andrew was totally up to going there too. Andrew played with the train table and read lots of books. Finally, we got him to leave so we could head back to the apartment. Mary Ann and I decided to try to put Andrew down for a nap at the apartment so we could have some time just to hang out the two of us. Andrew wanted to sleep with Madison, but Madison wasn't so sure of that idea. Eventually, Andrew finally fell asleep and slept for over two hours!! I had planned on leaving Pearland right after his nap so we could go to open gym tonight, but that idea was out the window. Instead, we just headed home after he woke up to see Daddy.

It was a great day getting to spend time with Mary Ann. Andrew had a lot of fun and kept asking for more Mary Ann all this evening. We will definitely have to do it again! Thanks for a wonderful day, Mary Ann! We love you!!
