Labor Day

This morning, when we were discussing what we wanted to do for Labor Day with Andrew and Nonna, Andrew chimed in that he wanted to ride the Metro. It was as good an idea as any so we decided to go with the little man's suggestion. We got ready and started our morning with breakfast at Shipley's Doughnuts since it's close to a Metro stop. Andrew was still so excited to ride it even after riding it so many times before.

We took the train down to Hermann Park and walked down to the Reflection Pond and McGovern Lake to feed the ducks. Andrew really liked throwing the bread down the ducks even though he usually doesn't throw them too far--maybe because he wants them to get even closer to us. It was starting to get warm and we had finished all the bread so we walked back to the station to catch the train back to our car.

Then, we just hung out the rest of the afternoon. Later in the evening, we went to Salt Grass for dinner before Nonna headed back to San Antonio. Andrew loved the bread they serve go figure!

We had a fantasic weekend. It went by way too fast, but that's how they normally go. Thanks, Nonna, for coming in and spending the weekend with us. We had a wonderful time with you here and love you very much.
