SLDS Transportation Day

This morning, I joined Andrew's class at Transportation Day, which is another tradition at St. Luke's. Since the school doesn't take the little kids on field trips because of the laws with seat belts or car seats in buses, they instead bring the field trip to the school.

Just as it sounds, Transportation Day is filled with different types of modes of transportation. When we had talked about it, Andrew, of course, asked if there would be a train there; and I told him that the chances of that were pretty low. But I did tell him he would see lots of other cool vehicles. I knew he would get over the train with all the other things they were having come in.

The kids were so cute when they saw all the vehicles. They absolutely loved the ambulance, race car, and fire truck. The big hit of the morning was the cherry picker/bucket truck (I have heard it both ways). The guys with the truck put on a little show for the kids by taking the bucket up really high. Andrew, along with his classmates, was so stoked!!

They all seem to have a great time especially our little boy who loves vehicles so much!! He was excited to tell Daddy all about it after he got home.
