This morning, we had been invited to Will's 3rd birthday party at Colonial Park. Will is one of Andrew's classmates and such a little cutie. His mom, Ashley, is very nice and we have spoken quite a bit when dropping off and picking up the kids.
I had to run an errand so we left the house a little early before heading to the party. We ended up being a little early to the park, but Will and Andrew were able to play. Andrew first ran off the the playground, but when the bouncer was aired up, both boys jumped around for a bit. Then, he went back to the playground. Will and Andrew even swung and rode the seesaw together. Andrew had fun climbing and playing on all the playscapes. And he would get so excited when he saw other classmates including Helen, Gray, and Chase. We had another little treat when we saw Carolyn and Quinn from our Gymboree days. Andrew and Quinn played together for a while including Andrew pushing Quinn on his tricycle (even though Quinn didn't need or want the help).
It was nice for James and I as well being able to talk to the other parents and getting to know them. We don't get a whole lot of time at school unfortunately so it was good to have full conversations with them. It's funny how many of them were Longhorns too so there was a lot of football talk.
After playing some more, we persuaded Andrew that it was time to leave so we could go see Geoffrey at Toys R Us. Thankfully, it was good enough a reason to leave the party and prevent a meltdown.
Happy Birthday, Will! We had a wonderful time at the party and are glad we were able to celebrate it with you!!
