Andrew has been showing us how he bleeds orange already. First, he has been really digging The Eyes of Texas for a maybe a week or so now. He has heard it many times before way back when he was younger, but recently, Daddy played it again for him and it really sunk in how it's to the same tune of I've Been Working on the Railroad. So between that and how much Daddy and I bleed orange, it clicked. He even asks for me to play it for him--sometimes even before Justin Bieber. But he can sing some of the words now..and he always puts up his horns!
Additionally, he's been practicing doing the Hook 'em Horns for a while now. At first, it started with us helping him position his fingers. Then, he would position his fingers with his other hand. And now, he can just throw them up at will! And today, Andrew put to rest any doubt about him bleeding some serious burnt orange (he might be disowned if he didn't). ;) When we were in League City with Ngoai, we took a little shopping excursion at Toys R Us. On the way home, Andrew asked for me to play The Eyes of Texas. When the song started, Andrew threw up his and promptly said "Horns up, Ngoai." Laughter ensued immediately! I was beaming with Longhorn pride!
These videos are actually from a couple of days ago. The first is Andrew listening to our beloved song. And sadly, Andrew sometimes doesn't like to sing when I have the camcorder out. The second video is my trying to get Andrew to do the Texas-Fight cheer (where one side of the stadium chants "Texas" and the other side chants in response "Fight" and this continues back and forth. I think he gets it confused with our fight song, Texas Fight, which Andrew is starting to listen to as well.
