This afternoon, Anh invited our family to the lunch at their house in celebration of Brendon's baptism at about 130pm. She invited us to the baptism ceremony as well, but said we didn't have to go. Lunch was pushing into Andrew's nap so we decided to go to the ceremony and play it by ear for the rest of the afternoon.
Before trekking out to Sugar Land, we decided to get Andrew out of the house this morning so we ventured over to the zoo again since we were still having such awesome weather. We even rode the Metro Rail to the zoo for a little extra-added bonus for the little guy. We had a nice time at the zoo as usual. Andrew, of course, wanted to ride the carousel and train. I think we are going to have to instill the every other time rule again (where we would ride the train every time we go and not every time). But we will apply it to both the carousel and train and maybe alternate them then.
We left the zoo to come home and get dressed for the baptism. We arrived to the church a little early (and it seemed that mass was running a little long as well). We waited outside and Andrew played and ran around the courtyard. He even starting running after some other kids who were chasing each other outside.
He kept asking for Josh and to go inside, but we had to remind him that we had to wait. Mass ended and we waited for people to exit the church. We quickly found Anh and Richard. Andrew immediately went to Josh and tried to hug him. Andrew didn't care too much for the baptismal ceremony instead only wanting to play with Josh. No surprise there.
After the ceremony, we went back to their house for lunch. Andrew bolted upstairs once we got to the house and played until the food was ready. Everything was very yummy especially Richard's brisket! Andrew ate a good amount and then wanted to go play. We let him play while we finished eating. Then, we needed to leave so Andrew could get in a nap as we had already pushed his nap back enough. It didn't even take him ten minutes to fall asleep in the car.
Congratulations to Brendon and the rest of the Cheng family!! Thank you so much for allowing us to share in this very special day! We love you guys!
