The Wyatts were back in town for the holidays so we threw together a quick get together tonight so we could see them along with some other friends from high school.
Sadly, I didn't have any time to prepare or cook really with the short notice and having just come back from Vegas. But fortunately, we did order some Greek food from Nikos Nikos. So delicious. I know not very Christmasey, but it sounded good to Will when I was throwing out nearby restaurants that we could order food from.As people arrived, we just let the kids play while we all chatted; and Andrew seemed to enjoy his little friends. The mack daddy kissed both Selene and Carter--right after each other. I mean one minute he was kissing Selene and then the next, he was kissing Carter. What a little player!! Later, he even kissed baby Kinsey right after she arrived. But in all seriousness, Andrew did a great job sharing this evening thankfully! Sometimes you just never know with this kid! But I was proud of him for being so generous with his toys.
I also had a little arts and crafts project for the kids if they wanted to participate...making ornaments. Of course, some of the kids, ours included, didn't really know what was going on, but it was still fun to have them put glue and stickers on the ornaments.
Then, the kids got to open a few early Christmas presents and of course as follows, played with their new toys. Next, we changed gears a little to take some time out to celebrate Will's birthday, which is tomorrow. Then, the adults got to open some gifts as well during a very last minute white elephant gift exchange which always produces lots of laughs!
We had a wonderful time with everyone. And it was especially great seeing all the little ones play together. I am so glad that we could all get together and catch up. It's kind of like when we were kids, but so much different now with kids of our own!
