Uncle Jason

One of Daddy's friends from high school, Jason, was in town from Virginia for a conference for work. Luckily for us, he was able to come over to visit with us tonight. Unfortunately, Daddy was a little late getting back from taking Thomas to the airport as Tom's flight was delayed.  But Andrew and I got to spend some extra time with Jason while we waited for him to come home. Andrew was a little shy at first, but didn't take too long to warm up to Uncle Jason, especially since Jason played trains with Andrew.

It was so wonderful to get to spend the time with Jason. We got to catch up on our lives and his (he and his wife, Shimul, just had their second son and have a blog too).  It is always great hearing about other parents, their kids, and their joys (and woes) of parenthood.  And we, of course, reminisced about old times and shared some great laughs.  Jason, thanks again for fitting us in and visiting us! It had been too long. Hopefully, it won't be another couple of years before we get to see you again!
