Tonight, we went to Zoobilee, a little get together for members of the Houston Zoo. It had rained earlier in the afternoon, but the rain let up and we had a beautiful evening. It was nice because it was less crowded and they has some nice activities to partake in. For example, we could get five stamps in a booklet saying we had visited five different animals from different parts of the world. After getting all the stamps, the kids received a goodie bag. They also had a DJ playing music (Andrew was a little tentative to join in with the other kids and dance).
Andrew loved looking at the animals. We saw the baby giraffe again, who had grown to over 6 ft tall! Andrew still confuses the animals calling some a dog, like the cheetah and monkeys. Hopefully, he will learn to distinguish animals soon. And he almost walked through a tunnel in an aquarium, which was new because he hasn't been a big fan of tunnels. Andrew also had a good time in the gift shop--he kissed and hugged the stuffed animals.
It was a great evening getting some quality family time with my two favorite guys!
