Today, we opted to stay at home and watch the game by ourselves since Andrew and I weren't 100% yet. We started the day by heading out to Toys R Us for a Thomas the Train Play Date to get Andrew out of the house for some youthful fun. I think he was a little overwhelmed because he just watched the kids and everything that was going on. He was hesitant to color or play with the trains. But we got some cool stuff to take home and he has plenty of trains to play with at our house (and four more to boot thanks to a sale they were having in conjunction with the event).
Afterwards, we returned home so Andrew could take his nap (Mommy and Daddy tried to get a nap in too). Andrew slept and ate lunch by the start of the game. During the game (and others that followed today), Andrew played with his toys (mainly his trains); and of course, there were times that Andrew wanted our attention to help him or play with him. We both read books and did puzzles with him among whatever else Andrew wanted to do in the living room. Daddy later took Andrew for a walk after the UT game so he could stretch his legs (while getting the mail). But for the most part, Andrew was a good sport and allowed Daddy and Mommy to watch a good amount of football today. Andrew is getting really cute because he will clap and yell "yeah" to try to mimic us. We will raise a Longhorn football fan yet!
Our Horns started slow (Mommy and Daddy tried to keep the obscenities to a minimum), but they rallied and came out with another notch in the W column!! Thank goodness!
No pictures from Toys R Us since Andrew didn't participate too much while we were there, but of course, Mommy got some of Andrew in his UT garb. At least in the first picture, he is posing sweetly for me!
