We watched the Longhorns play the University of Texas at El Paso here at the house tonight. Uncle Anh Tuan was here; and Auntie Monica came over after work. Auntie Belinda, Uncle Steven, and Evan came over after Evan's nap. Andrew was so excited when I told him Evan was coming over. He was actually on the balcony when they walked up and was saying "eh eh" for Evan.
The boys spent most of the time playing trains playing very well together. But I was so proud when Evan first came over and Andrew gave him Emily as if remembering that Evan wanted to play with Emily the night of the first game.
The adults did some playing of their on in between football games. We played some Wii tennis and had some great laughs. We sure worked up an appetite; and Uncle Steven was kind enough to get us some delicious Vietnamese banh mi (sandwiches) and goi cuon (spring rolls/rice paper). We had a fun time tonight--including a decisive win from the Horns!
We had got these paper Thomas hats from the play date at Toys R Us a while back. The employee gave me a few so I thought Evan might like it.
**Note: I know Drew isn't sporting burnt orange. We meant to change him after his nap, but it just got away from us. And then, we just didn't feel like bothering with it. Why waste a perfectly clean shirt?! I have enough laundry to do as it is. ;)
