This morning, we drove out to Arlington for Six Flags Over Texas with Albert, Lilian, and her older brother Matthew. We weren't sure how long we were going to last because of the heat, but we set out trying to do everything we could in whatever time we had there.
I wanted to head to an area near the front of the park where they had some kid rides. Andrew and Lilian rode a few. I told Albert and Matthew they could go ride some big rides, but they opted to stay with us for a little while.
Next, we headed over the Gotham City where they had a replica of one of the Batmobiles. Andrew was pretty excited to see one in person. Albert went to go ride a few adult rides while the rest of us took the big train ride around the park. It gave us a good chance to see what other parts of the park we wanted to check out.
Then, Albert and Matthew went to go ride the go karts while I took Lilian and Andrew on a few rides including the Batwing. I also let them play one of those strongman games (swing a hammer to see how strong you are) to win a superhero costume. Luckily, it was an automatic winner anyhow just by paying for the game. After, we walked around to another side of the park to ride some less extreme rides.
We met up with the boys and rode Thunder River. I wasn't sure if Andrew was going to get scared. But I think because we all talked excitedly about it and we were all going to ride it, he thought it was all okay. And he did fantastic. He wasn't scared at all!! He seemed to have a good time and laughed when we all got wet. I was so proud of him!
By then, it was about time to call it a day. We were going to meet my mom at Aunt Hoa's shop so that we could get on the road before traffic started in Dallas. We had such a wonderful time in Dallas with our family.
