Detective Days at MFAH Bayou Bend

The kids and I visited Bayou Bend this morning. It is part of the Museum of Fine Arts; and I had been wanted to go there for quite some time. I had read online about a program they have for kids in the summer called Detective Days where kids go through the gardens or the house to find clues to solve a puzzle.

We opted for the indoor hunt since it was cooler. Mostly, the clues were about numbers, such as counting items in the different rooms. And at the end, we solved the riddle about Ima Hogg. Then, we went outside to check out the garden before leaving.

Let me say, the house and the grounds are incredible. We didn't check out all of the gardens, but I would definitely like to in the future. It was so beautiful and scenic. I am so glad we went.

They didn't allow photography inside the house, so I only have some photos of the garden.
