My twin cousins, Anh and Nga, had told me they would be out and about around Houston performing lion dances to raise money for the Buddhist temple they attend. When we were at the museum, I had been texting them and learned that they had their next show at a temple south of Downtown after lunch. Since we were in Midtown at the museum, we decided to have lunch and meet them over at the temple.
We got to the temple a little bit after the twins and the rest of the lion dancers had gotten there. It was just a few minutes' wait until their performance started. Andrew loved watching the lion dance and was so entralled with everything. He was scared to feed some lucky money into the mouth of Anh's and Nga's red lion, but just ended up throwing it on the ground.
The kids did a fantastic job; and we were so happy to get to see them. First, I just love getting to see the cousins when we can; and I am so very proud of them and their lion dancing.
After the celebration, Andrew wanted to try out the see saw and had a blast on it! Then, we headed home for a nap!
