Houston Texans

Mommy landed two free tickets to today's Houston Texans game against the Oakland Raiders. I didn't think Andrew could sit through an entire NFL game and offered to let Daddy take a buddy of his while Andrew and I stayed home. Daddy was sweet and said he wanted us to go with him. So, our plan was to run errands this morning and then let Andrew take his nap. Then, after he woke up, we would head down to Reliant Stadium.

Well, this morning, we headed to Best Buy to buy Mommy's new camera (for our upcoming trip to Austin) and Michaels to buy some picture frames for the house. Andrew was getting tired on the drive home, but said he wanted to eat. So, we fed him some soup that Ngoai had made. Unfortunately, Andrew threw up after--I think it was my fault feeding him too big of bites. We hadn't had any vomit in almost two weeks, but Mommy must have jinxed it because she mentioned this fact last night. Way to go, Mommy! :(

Due to the vomiting and the rain outside, we thought maybe it would be best for Andrew to stay home. We tried to find someone else to go the game with Daddy, but it was too short of notice and the game had already started. So, we decided that we would see how Andrew was after his nap. He slept an hour and a half and woke up in very fine spirits (the game was at the half at this point). We quickly got ready and drove down to the stadium. After parking and walking, we managed to find our seats at the beginning of the 4th quarter. Ha ha! Yes, we must be crazy! But we didn't want the tickets to go to waste; and we had already expected not to watch the entire game...but we didn't think we would miss 3/4 of it. ;) Oh well, that's life...especially when you have a kid. But it ended up being fun. Andrew was good for the most part. He did want to go down the stairs everytime other people did. We kept him busy by feeding him snacks and candy and pointing out various things going on in the game and stadium.

By the time we got out of the parking lot and arrived home, Ngoai had just gotten to our house. She is staying the night and helped Daddy put Andrew to bed in hopes that she can put him down when Daddy and Mommy go to the U2 concert in one and a half weeks.

Ngoai also cut Daddy's and Andrew's hair this evening. Once again, Andrew wagged his finger when we asked him if he wanted a haircut, but in the end, did a great job. He didn't cry and was very cooperative. His fade looks awesome! Thanks, Ngoai!!!
