This evening, I was so fortunate to have a little reunion with some old friends. Sherry, whom I met in junior high, was visiting from California where her husband, Randy, is stationed at Beale Air Force Base. Randy just took an assignment over in Japan so they came back to Texas with their four kids to visit before they leave.
We all met up at Aimee's house in north Houston along with Lora, who drove in from Dallas with her daughter, Annalise. By the way, Aimee and I have known each other since elementary school (way way back); and I have known Lora since intermediate school. It was so nice seeing everyone and getting to meet some of the kids including Aimee's three kids whom I haven't met before as well as Annalise. Lora, her husband, and her two boys came to see Andrew when he was just born--and Lora was just pregnant with Annalise.
Andrew quickly befriended the kids even though he was the youngest and had fun playing upstairs in Aimee's playroom with all of them. He didn't want to leave. But it was getting late and it was nearing bed time for everyone. But I had an amazing time getting to hang out and catch up with my girlfriends!! It had been way too long, but it kind of made tonight even more special getting to see them again after all this time.
The pictures are: (1) Annabelle and Violet; (2) Andrew and Annalise; (3) Annalise; (4) Sherry, Annabelle, and Violet; and (5) the kids eating cupcakes.
