This morning, we were going to join Mrs. Jean and Emily at the Bellaire City Library for story time. But first, we left the house a little early so Andrew could play at the park closeby. We hadn't been since we went to the Aquatic Center. I figured it was about time since they have both a train and fire truck apparatus. Andrew enjoyed it, but quickly said "all done" because he was hot. Thankfully, it was just about time for story time to start.
We had such a great time!! Mrs. Missy read us books about dogs (sweet!) and sang lots of fun songs we could dance to. Andrew wasn't too sure about it at first, but came around quickly and joined in the dancing. Afterwards, we had Arts & Crafts time where we made a dog door hanger.
I can't believe I haven't ever taken Andrew here before. Normally, we have had most of our play dates on Wednesdays because we didn't have any organized activities. But now we know. I am so glad I found this little treasure!! We are definitely coming back!
Afterwards, Jean and I took the kids to lunch at Auntie Pasto's. The kids ate so well (Andrew of course got alfredo penne pasta) as did the mommies! But it wasn't over yet. Andrew had asked for ice cream (he noticed the Marble Slam a few doors down right away). And I told him if he ate well, he could have ice cream afterwards. As we walked over to Marble Slam, Emily and Andrew held hands after we told them too. It was so cute. Then, the kids shared some mint chocolate chip. It was a great way to end a fun morning!
