Time with Thomas

We had a great time with Thomas. Before I proceed, I would like to quickly point out that we did ask for both Stephanie and Thomas to visit us. However, Stephanie had one of her best friends coming to visit her from Florida during Christmas break. And so, this allowed Thomas to do something special himself and allowed us to have some one-on-one time with him.

On Wednesday, Uncle James headed to work; and the three of us began the morning with breakfast at Kolache Factory and then to Barnes & Noble for some books. After, we headed over to Toys R Us for a little shopping. By the time we finished, it was near lunchtime, so we picked up James and went to lunch at our favorite Korean BBQ place in Houston. After lunch, we headed to the Museum of Natural Science and Thomas chose to see the Dinosaur CSI exhibit, which was very cool. Andrew had a good time looking all around too. He behaved well except for one part where he didn't want to watch the video, which was odd considering how much he likes to try to watch TV at home.

After the museum, we headed back to the house to wait for James to get off work. Then, we went to dinner at Benihana's. It was full for New Year's Eve for the hibachi grill so we had to sit in the other dining area. We were still able to order hibachi entrees thankfully. We went home and played Wii Fit and watched TV until midnight to ring in the New Year. It was a lowkey celebration, but that is exactly what we wanted.

On Thursday, we hung out at the house. Andrew and I went to Chuy's with Monica, Belinda, and Brenda. Andrew was a little rambunctous not wanting to sit in his high chair. He just wanted to look around everywhere. Afterwards, we just played until it was time for Thomas to head to the airport.

It was a quick trip, but it was great to have him here. Thanks, Auntie Janine and Uncle Mike, for making this happen; and thanks, Thomas, for wanting to come visit us and being so sweet with Andrew. We love you and miss you already.

Sadly, I didn't have my camera at the museum, but here are some pictures from New Year's Eve.
