After breakfast, we walked down to Times Square to buy tickets at the TKTS Discount Booths for Mary Poppins for the afternoon show.
After checking out of the hotel, we took a cab to Vinaya's apartment and had some brunch.
Then, we were off for the show. Sadly, I led the boys in the wrong direction and we were a little late to the show. We missed maybe five or ten minutes, but didn't miss too much. At first, Andrew asked a lot of questions about what was going on and when there wasn't singing, his voice was a little loud. But we kept saying for him to wait to ask at intermission. But he seem to be enjoying the show, laughing and clapping. At intermission, we got cookies and a drink and then headed back to his seats waiting for the show to restart. So, I took this time to apologize to the people in front and in back of us about Andrew's talking. But they sweetly said it was no problem. Whew! We watched the second half and Andrew was more into it and didn't talk as much either. I think he was finally understanding what was going on (I had told him to watch the movie version of it beforehand, but he hadn't). And safe to say, we all enjoyed the show.
Then, we went back to Vinaya's and got ready for dinner with her and her boyfriend, Bill. Andrew was going to stay at home with Miss Scarlett who is a family friend of Sabrina's who referred me to her. She even bought Andrew some coloring books from her publishing company that she works at. We also let him have his LEGO set to also keep them occupied. He was totally ready to hang out with her and kept prodding us to leave!
We went to a Mediterranean restaurant place called Ilili and had a delicious meal and amazing company. We talked about different things and it was nice to finally meet Bill too. The evening ended too quickly and we headed back to Vinaya's. Scarlett said Andrew was great and they had a great time--just like us!
I totally meant to get a picture at the restaurant, but yet again, dropped the ball. I just didn't get a chance. Argh. But here are pictures from Mary Poppins at least.
