After school today, we met up with Aunt Jeana at the Children's Museum. She came with Aunt Susana, Sebastian, and Sophia. Andrew hadn't seen them since they were in town years ago and didn't remember them. But no worries, after playing at the museum, they became fast friends. And not to mention, both Sebastian and Sophia were totally sweet to Andrew.
We first did the HEB where the kids pretended to do the shopping, but they really enjoyed the checking out part. Then, we moseyed over to the restaurant for a little bit! ;)
Next, we headed downstairs and the kids played with the LEGOs and Andrew and Sebastian tried their hat at building cars to ride down the big ramp. Then, the kids went over to the other side to do the rock wall and obstacle course. Andrew wasn't old enough to do the rock wall (kids have to be five) and he didn't have on tennis shoes (no Crocs). But he and Sebastian also did the snowboard simulation. They both did a great job balancing. Makes me really excited about taking Andrew snowboarding one day!!
Then, we went back upstairs for the story time. The kids were happy about them each getting to pick out a book. We explored the rest of the museum including going to watch a puppet show about three friends and a pizzeria.
It was getting time for dinner so Aunt Jeana suggested the fun continue at Chuck E. Cheese. The kids had fun playing the games and earning tickets and they all got along very well. After all the playing, it was time to head home. But since the kids seem to like each other so much, we made plans to see them again while they are here.
