Andrew and I were on our own while Daddy headed downstairs for the conference. We walked (I had Andrew in the stroller) six blocks north to Central Park. Sadly, the carousel was closed for major renovation (this was not posted on the website by the way). I was completely bummed out. But just ending up playing at one of the many playgrounds there.
Then, we walked to FAO Swartz and made it in time for storytime. Andrew sat and listened well considering he was so eager to see the store. He was amazed at all the toys and watched a few demos of the toys too. He picked out a FAO windup train, go figure!
He was getting a little tired so I thought it best to head back to the hotel to get some rest. And we got to see Daddy for a little bit during one of his breaks. We both took a nap and when we woke up, it was time to get ready for Serendipity. Andrew and I ordered shrimp dumplings and alfredo noodles, but the piece de resistance was the frozen hot chocolate. So so yummy!!
After, we headed back to the hotel to wait for Daddy to get out and then went to eat pizza for dinner along with Steven and Lee, the students from Rice that were also attending the conference.
