This evening, we went to the Houston Rodeo with Aunt Monica. We started out by taking the light rail down to Reliant to avoid parking and to appease our son as an extra bonus.
Then, as we were walking into the fairgrounds, someone who was headed the opposite direction handed James one of those booklets filled with coupons and tickets. I guess the guy decided to give it to us since he saw Andrew on James's shoulders. I had ordered two booklets for us to use ourselves, but a few more tickets couldn't hurt. And then, we ran into some friends and since they were done at the fair, they gave us their book as well! We didn't realize until we started playing games and riding rides how much were on both booklets. It was crazy how much we had! But we put it towards good use.
We start letting Andrew ride some rides and play some games. He wanted to win some stuff animals, which he wasn't even into last year. Well, with all those tickets, it was definitely possible. Andrew ended up with a Superman, Batman, and lots more others. He rode lots of ride from airplanes to boats to the train he rode last year.
We did lots of eating while we were there of course. So yummy!! And we had chosen tonight to go because Alan Jackson was the headliner. I had been playing his music for Andrew and Andrew likes Little Bitty and was excited when he played it (and same goes for Mommy too)!! We didn't stay for the whole concert because Andrew started to really get tired and we decided it was time to head home.
It was a great night and we had a lot of fun. I am already looking forward to next year!
