This afternoon, Andrew and I went to the zoo to see the corpse flower that had bloom. Sadly, we had missed the actual bloom, but you could still smell the remnants of it. Whoo wheee! Did that thing stink!?
Since we were already at the zoo, we decided to have some more fun there. We went to visit the chimps as we were already in the African Forest. Boy, did they put on a show for us!? Another family was there before us and they were playing with a chimp through the glass. One of the family members would put their lips against the glass as if to kiss the chimp. The chimp in return would sometimes kiss the glass, but would also tap the glass right at the person's lips. It was hysterical!! Andrew was brave enough to try it and the first time, he got the swat, but he finally got a kiss too. So much fun!
I had wanted to take Drew to the 4D Dora and Diego show that the zoo is showing right now. Andrew wasn't too sure about it since he doesn't like getting wet from the other times he has watched 4D shows, but I told him we could sit in the back so he agreed to go.We didn't get too wet at all and I kind of played it up for him too telling him that I liked getting wet because it was a way to cool off from the heat. He totally bought into it and was fine with the few drops we got.
After we got home, we went to walk Tanner, the Bolton's dog who were are dog sitting for a couple of days. It's been great for Andrew since he loves dogs so much and Tanner is really easy too. Drew has been really into the dog walking and feedings. Hopefully, he will be that way still if we ever decide to get a dog in the future.
