We were spending the day down in League City and my folks gave Andrew the option of going to Kemah or taking the ferry and later going to the beach. We explained to him what the ferry was though I am not sure if he totally understood it. But whatever he thought the ferry might be, he picked it. So, off we went towards Galveston.
When we arrived at the line for the ferry, we managed to get onto the ferry without having to wait. We were one of the last cars to get on. We parked the car and asked Andrew if he wanted to get out and walk around. He said "yes", but it was apparent how uneasy he was. I think he was unsure of what was going to go on. But we took him upstairs so he could have a better view. He loved looking at the seagulls and boats. We pointed out all the ocean liners and tugboats.

Once the ferry ride was over, we drove out and then immediately turned around to catch the ferry back. We caught the same one with no problem and were directed to park on the outside lane giving us a great view. Andrew said he didn't want to get out again so we just stayed in the car and let him eat some fruit snacks and drink some milk. He still looked out at the other boats, but he wasn't as interested this time around. I guess the novelty had worn off!
After we returned back, we headed for the beach, but sadly, we started to get some raindrops. It was scattered showers, but we didn't want to risk getting rained on. We explained to Andrew that we couldn't go to the beach and he seemed okay with just heading back to League City. Then after lunch, Andrew took a nap. Later, Aunt Monica came over to hang out. We talked her into staying for dinner. Then, we headed home to see Daddy.
And for the Andrew Moment of the Day, it happened on the drive down to Galveston. He spotted a Target store and said "Target". I then asked him what he does at Target thinking he would say play with trains, fire trucks, garbage trucks, or any of the toys he plays with. But Andrew in all seriousness replies to my question with "poo poo". We just about died laughing the car. He definitely do that in Target!! Totally makes this mommy very proud, I tell you!
