Nonna arrived a little after we got home from the Aquarium. When Andrew woke up from his nap, he was so happy to see her. It was so sweet. She also came bearing gifts, which Andrew loved. She gave him a little Easter toy where three baby chicks dance and sing "We Got the Tweet" versus "We Got the Beat" by the Go-Go's. Of course, Andrew danced along side them. She also got him a set of ducks for the tub that number from 1 to 10so Andrew can learn his numbers better. Hooray!
We went to Costco to buy some stuff and then went to the park so Andrew can play. Lately, he has been asking every day to go to the park since we have been going almost every day. It's almost part of the routine. We have to take advantage of this nice weather before it gets unbearably hot.
That night, we tried dying Easter eggs. Andrew had so much fun. It got a little messy at times, but that was to be expected. Actually, Mommy expected more of a mess! He loves helping out and will get frustrated when he isn't allowed to do something (that Mommy and Daddy are better suited at doing). Mommy gets a little frustrated too because Andrew doesn't listen and take too kindly to being told no. Since Andrew isn't the most patient, we didn't let the eggs soak near long enough and thus, the dye didn't take very well--the eggs were light in color. But Andrew got the gist and was just excited about putting stickers on them next.
Nonna made us dinner of braciole...one of Mommy and Daddy's favorites. She also made spaghetti sauce and brought it in for Andrew, which is one of his favorites. Afterwards, we put him into the tub to play with his new ducks and then down for the night. It was a busy day, but a great one.
