The Sotos

This evening, we drove out to Humble to visit with the Soto family. Carlos was a classmate of James back at Rice and we got to know him and his wife, Sarah, pretty well during those two years. After business school, they moved up to North Carolina, but we have kept in touch over the years. And they were visiting Houston with their two sons, Nicholas and Michael.

They were staying at Carlos's parents house and they were kind enough to invite us up there for dinner and swimming. Sadly, the weather wasn't cooperating and we weren't able to hit the pool. But we came bearing gifts of super hero action figures for both boys and Andrew packed some toys of his own. So, the boys played a lot of super heroes and also watched some video on their respective tables because they couldn't all hear while watching one.

We had an amazing time seeing them again and getting to spend time with them. And Andrew loved playing with both boys. He even yelled out "I love you!" when we were leaving. But he said it for all of us, we do love them and were so happy that we got to see them!! Hope the next reunion doesn't take as long.
