After Liya's party, we headed home and tried to get Andrew to go down for his nap. Thankfully, he went down easily and was asleep by 2:15pm. The poor kid must have been really worn out because he slept until almost 3:45pm. It always seems to happen when we have something going on after nap, Andrew will sleep longer than usual. And this afternoon was no differnt. He finally woke up and we left the house as soon as we could and headed to Evan's fourth birthday party, which started at 330pm.
We arrived about thirty minutes late to Monkey Bizness which is one of those massive inflatable places. It was cool because Evan's party had their own play room where all the kids were running and any playing. The party was already well underway. We said hello to lots of people and sent Drew on his way to go play. He was really hesitant so Daddy went with him, which helped a little. But what really did the trick was Max. Max and Andrew were so happy to see each other. And Max immediately took Andrew's hand to go off and play. And Andrew gladly followed. It was so sweet.
After about an hour more of playing, it was time for snacks and cake. Andrew got this huge piece of chocolate cake and for some strange reason was determined to finish it all. People were finished eating and leaving and there Andrew was still working on the cake. But that's ok because it gave us time to talk and hang out for a while longer.
And since we were already in the area, Daddy and I talked beforehand about going to eat barbeque at Rudy's. Coincidentally, others including Aunt Bee and Uncle Steven had the same notion. So, a small group of us headed to the restaurant immediately following for a little after party. It was a great way to end the day! We had such a great time. We all loved seeing so many of our friends that we don't get to see near often enough with all our different busy schedules.
Last, but not least...Happy Birthday, Evan! We can't believe you are four years old already and such a big boy!! We love you so very much!!
